Akris Fall 2026
Albert Kriemler x Olga de Amaral
“I don’t think in words; I think in touch and texture,” Albert Kriemler says. “Fabrics are my language. So too are they for Olga de Amaral.” For Fall 2026, the Creative Director collaborated with textile artist Olga de Amaral, whose hands weave, knot, and braid humble materials — wool, linen, horsehair — into luminous, elaborate structures that hold presence.
Tactile. Texture. Textile.
The collection is an exploration of color and texture: glistening, fragmented jacquard; sumptuous, layered knits; and supple yet lightweight leather shaped by light and craft. A reminder that tactile experience is elemental — stimulating the senses, triggering memory, affirming presence — just as clothes do against the skin. Beyond thought, it invites sensation.

A Woman Pushing Boundaries
Olga de Amaral (b. 1932) lives and works in Bogotá. For more than six decades, she has expanded weaving into the realms of sculpture, painting, and installation, using innovative techniques with horsehair, wool, linen, gesso, and gold leaf. Her large-scale, luminous works have made her one of the most influential textile artists of our time.

Golden Threads, Suspended Light
The show took place at the Palais de Tokyo. Inside, a glistening golden curtain anchored the space, moving subtly as the models stepped onto the runway. The installation mirrored the suspended strands in Amaral’s work and the fringes in Kriemler’s newest collection.
